Wandeling van Buiten naar de Mooiste Markt

Er zijn twee mogelijkheden:

1. Start bij Buiten:
   Loop naar buiten en ga rechtdoor naar de havenkom.

2. Loop zonder langs Buiten te gaan:
   Keer om en loop weer terug naar de voornoemde brug.

Loop in deze richting:


Je loopt verder langs de havenkom tot je deze brug aan je rechterhand ziet met rechts om de hoek dit naambord:


Steek de brug diagonaal over naar het Cupidohof.

Je passeert daarbij rode hekjes die Noordzijde tot een doodlopende weg maken:


Je loopt dan ook langs een Puccini-afval bak, die in 2024 nog een rode kliko was.

Hier kun je  krijgen over de Stoute Rode Bak.

Loop langs het water het Cupidohof in en volg dit pad richting viaduct:


Blijf langs het water lopen en ga aan het eind van dit voetpad rechtsaf. Loop langs de kerk "De Verbinding" en kijk even om de hoek boven de ingang. Je ziet dit:


Steek ter hoogte van de kerkdeur de Louis Couperusstraat over en loop de mooiste bomenstraat van Nieuw-West in: de Burgemeester Eliasstraat. Omdat je deze straat uitloopt tot de Burgemeester de Vlugtlaan, is er tijd voor over het kunstwerk van Dick Elffers uit 1962 boven de kerkdeur.

Steek de Burgemeester de Vlugtlaan over en loop dit wandelpad (Cornelis de Rooijpad) door het Meerwaldtplantsoen in:


Je ziet meteen rechts in het gras een beeld staan. Beantwoord de  of je doet .

Walk from Buiten to the Mooiste Markt

There are two possibilities:

1. Starting at Buiten:
   Walk outside and continue straight towards the harbor basin.

2. Bypassing Buiten:
   Turn around and walk back to the aforementioned bridge.

Continue in this direction:


Keep walking along the harbor basin until you see this bridge on your right, with the nameplate just around the corner to your right:

Cross the bridge diagonally to Cupidohof.

You will pass red gates that make Noordzijde a dead-end street:


You will also pass a Puccini waste bin, which was still a red wheelie bin in 2024. Here, you can get about the Stoute Rode Bak.

Walk along the water into Cupidohof and follow this path towards the viaduct:


Continue walking along the water and turn right at the end of this footpath. Walk past the church "De Verbinding" and take a moment to look around the corner above the entrance. You will see this:


At the level of the church door, cross Louis Couperusstraat and enter the most beautiful tree-lined street in Nieuw-West: Burgemeester Eliasstraat. As you walk down this street towards Burgemeester de Vlugtlaan, you will have time to read the artwork by Dick Elffers from 1962 above the church door.

Cross Burgemeester de Vlugtlaan and follow this walking path (Cornelis de Rooijpad) through the Meerwaldtplantsoen for in:
